The 2003 Ford Excursion was the last of the first-generation models of this full-sized SUV. It came in three trims: XLS, XLT, and the luxurious Eddie Bauer and Limited trim. Known for its vast interior space and towing capabilities, it was powered by a 5.4L V8 engine providing 255 horsepower, or an upgradable option of a 6.8L V10 that made around 310 horsepower. A 7.3L diesel V8 engine was also available, offering 250 horsepower. Buyers could choose between either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive.
