2003 Ford Focus Overview

The 2003 Ford Focus is from the compact car’s first generation in North America. It offers diversity in its body configurations with four choices: sedan, wagon, hatchback, and ZX3, which is a more powerful, sport-tuned hatchback. Under the hood, three engine alternatives await. The base is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 110 hp, followed by a 2.0-liter Zetec bid with 130 hp found in most trims. The top-tier engine is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder producing 145 hp, exclusive to the ZX3. All engines mate to a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. On the inside, the Focus offers a surprising amount of room and a decent set of standard features including air-conditioning, an AM/FM radio, and a CD player. Safety is a priority with optional side airbags and antilock brakes across all trims.
