The 2003 GMC Envoy is part of GMC's mid-size SUV lineup for that year. The second generation of the Envoy (2002-2009) offered rear-wheel drive with optional four-wheel drive systems. Under the hood, there is a 4.2L inline-six engine producing up to 270 horsepower, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Available trims were the SLE and SLT, both with the XL subtrim, offering more cargo capacity. The key safety features included ABS, dual front airbags, front side airbags, and StabiliTrak stability control system. Inside, the Envoy was equipped with a premium infotainment system supporting AM/FM radio, CD Player, and optional OnStar telematics, but lacked modern features such as Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For 2003, the Envoy received an optional and more potent 5.3L V8 engine produced for XL trims with 290 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque and also a new optional rear air suspension system.
