2003 GMC Sonoma Overview

The 2003 GMC Sonoma is a compact pickup truck best known for its functionality and customization options. Emanating from the second generation of Sonomas, it is available in three trims: SL, SLS, and ZR2. The base SL is equipped with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 120 horsepower, while both the SLS, and the off-road-oriented ZR2 offer a stronger 4.3-liter V6 engine with 175-190 horsepower. The rear-wheel drive is standard, although four-wheel-drive variants are available for SLS and ZR2 trims. Five-speed manual transmission comes standard with an optional four-speed automatic. On the inside, the GMC Sonoma offers a basic yet comfortable configuration, supporting either three persons (in standard cab models) or five (in extended cab models). Despite its age, safety features still include antilock brakes and daytime running lights. However, it should be noted that it lacks notable tech and infotainment features as seen in modern vehicles due to its production year.
