The 2003 Kia Spectra is part of the first generation of the model, offering an affordable and practical compact car. Two trims were available, namely the base GS and the GSX hatchback. Both trims offered a 1.8L four-cylinder engine with 124 horsepower, coming with a standard five-speed manual transmission, with the option of a four-speed automatic. While not particularly luxurious, the Spectra boasted numerous standard features for its price, including air conditioning, full power accessories and a CD player. Safety features include dual front airbags, whilst side airbags were optional. While it lacked the refinement and reputation of its competitors, the Specta was known for its good fuel economy and low price.
