The 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse belongs to the third generation of the Eclipse lineup. It came with two engines: a base 2.4L inline-4 that produced 147 hp, and an upgraded 3.0L V6 available on GT and GTS trims that generated 200-210 hp, mated to either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission with FWD. The Eclipse featured a bold design and was aimed at drivers desiring sportier performance. Unlike its predecessors, the third-gen Eclipse didn’t offer a turbocharged engine or AWD options. Inside, amenities were sparse, but a premium Infinity audio system was a standout feature. Safety was reinforced with standard dual-front airbags, while ABS was optional.
