The last year in its seventh generation, the 2003 Toyota Celica offered impressive handling and fuel economy for its segment. Available as a two-door hatchback, the Celica came in two trims, GT and GTS. GT models came equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that delivered 140 hp, paired with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic, while the GTS versions boasted 180 hp from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, complemented by a six-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission. FWD was standard. Inside, it featured a sporty dash design and comfortable seating. Notable features included 15-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system, and power windows, mirrors and door locks. The GTS added 16-inch wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power sunroof. ABS was optional on both trims.
