2003 Volvo XC Overview

The 2003 Volvo XC is a crossover SUV offered in two variants: the venerable XC70 and the luxurious XC90. The XC70, a more rugged variant of the V70 wagon, offers a 2.4L turbocharged inline-five engine with 208 hp, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, while the first-generation XC90 introduced this year was offered with a choice of a 2.5L turbo five-cylinder producing 208 hp or a 2.9L twin-turbo inline-six with 268 hp. Both variants are equipped with Volvo's reliable AWD system. Further distinguishing the XC90 was its generous equipment level, including a power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a comprehensive set of safety features, including Roll Stability Control technology. Inside, infotainment was catered for with an eight-speaker stereo with CD player.
