The 2004 Chevrolet Astro is a mid-sized van available in two trims: the base model and the LS. Both trims come with a 4.3-liter V6 engine that offers 190 horsepower, paired with a standard 4-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel-drive system. This vehicle was praised for its towing capacity and its ability to carry up to eight passengers, with a split-bench seating arrangement. The 2004 Astro didn't come with an infotainment system as we know them today, but it did have AM/FM stereo with optional CD playing feature. As the Astro was designed before many of today’s popular safety features became ubiquitous, it lacks some of the modern safety features. Nonetheless, for 2004 it was equipped with antilock brakes as standard and passenger airbags as an option. The 2004 model year didn’t bring significant changes to the Astro's design or features, as this model was in its last years of production. It is, however, remembered for its capability and versatility.
