The first-generation 2004 Chevrolet Colorado was introduced to take up the mantle from the venerable S-10. It offered three engine choices: a 175-horsepower 2.8-liter inline-four, a 220-hp 3.5-liter inline-five, and a hefty 4.1-liter inline-six. The truck was available in regular, extended, and crew cab body styles, with two- or four-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive was standard, with four-wheel drive available as an option. Transmission options included a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic. Key safety features included dual front airbags and antilock brakes. The 2004 Colorado lacked some of today's standard tech features but still offered a competent and comfortable cabin.
