The 2004 Chevrolet Impala is part of the eighth generation of this historic American sedan. It comes with a choice of two powertrains: a 3.4-liter V6 engine with 180 horsepower or a more potent 3.8-liter V6 delivering 200 horsepower. All 2004 Impalas come with a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The model was offered in three available trims: Base, LS, and the sporty SS. The base model is decently equipped, while the LS includes a sport suspension and the SS offers a supercharged engine. As for safety, anti-lock brakes and traction control were optional. Notable features include a six-speaker audio system, remote keyless entry, and dual-zone climate control. There were no significant model-year changes in 2004.
