The 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, part of the third-generation introduced in 2000, is a premium compact car available as a sedan, hatchback, or wagon. Engine options include a 189-hp 1.8L turbocharged four-cylinder, a 215-hp 3.2L V6, and a 342-hp 5.4L V8 in the high-performance C32 AMG and C55 AMG models. A five-speed automatic is standard, with a six-speed manual available on lower trims. The C-Class comes with Mercedes' COMAND infotainment system, including navigation and a Bose sound system. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and up to six airbags. For 2004, the C-Class received a facelift with redesigned front and rear ends, modernized interior, and new 17-inch wheel designs.
