The 2004 Porsche 911, part of the coveted vehicle's 996 generation, came in Carrera 2 (rear-wheel drive) and Carrera 4 (all-wheel drive) models. This high-performance sports car offered choices between a 3.6L flat-six engine producing 320 horsepower and a turbocharged 3.6L flat-six engine with 415 horsepower. Both engines were married to a standard 6-speed manual transmission, though a 5-speed automatic was optional. This 911 offered excellent performance, luxurious interiors, and the signature Porsche driving experience. The 911 came equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) for better handling and navigation system as an optional feature. However, this model year is sometimes sidestepped by enthusiasts because of its controversial headlights and the potential for expensive engine problems.
