The 2004 Subaru Impreza is part of the second generation, renowned for its exceptional all-weather handling courtesy of the standard all-wheel drive system. It is available in both sedan and wagon body styles, with a variety of trims including WRX and high-performance WRX STi. Powering the Impreza is either a 165-hp 2.5L flat-4 for the base model or a 227-hp turbocharged version in the WRX. The WRX STi houses a tenacious 2.5L turbo with 300 hp paired to a six-speed manual transmission (all others have a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic). It touts an impressive array of safety features, including front-seat side airbags and active front head restraints. Though its infotainment system may seem rudimentary by today's standards, it did provide a six-speaker audio system.
