The 2005 Acura RL, Acura's flagship sedan, entered its second generation with a total redesign. It's powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower, coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system (SH-AWD). The RL came fully equipped with only one trim available, packed with premium features like a sunroof, leather seating, and real wood trim. This model brought in the AcuraLink satellite communication system with real-time traffic information, voice recognition system, and GPS-linked solar-sensing climate control system. The RL incorporated key safety components, including front side airbags, curtain side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, an antiskid system, and Acura’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure for enhanced crash protection.
