The 2005 Acura TL is part of the car's third generation, which was released from 2004 to 2008. This front-wheel-drive luxury sedan came with a 3.2-liter V6 engine that produced 270 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. There were two available transmissions: a 5-speed automatic with Sequential SportShift, or an optional 6-speed manual with a limited-slip differential on the manual-transmission model. The TL was highly regarded for its standard features, which included xenon HID headlights, a power moonroof, heated front seats, and a premium eight-speaker sound system equipped with a 6-CD, DVD-Audio, MP3, and WMA changer.
