The 2005 Chevrolet Suburban belongs to the ninth generation of this full-size SUV. It's a highly versatile vehicle known for its vast interior and impressive towing capacity. Two V8 engines were available - a 5.3-liter V8 producing 295 horsepower and a 6.0-liter V8 generating 335 horsepower. All trims come with a four-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is optional. Available in three main trims: LS, Z71, and LT, each increasing in luxury and convenience features. LS came standard with dual-zone manual air conditioning, a CD player, a trip computer and side assist steps. Advances in infotainment were modest by modern standards but Chevrolet's OnStar telematics was a key safety feature in addition to antilock brakes, stability control and many airbags.
