The 2005 Dodge Magnum marked the relaunch of the Magnum nameplate as a rear-wheel-drive station wagon after its initial discontinuation in 1989. The base SE model is powered by a 2.7-liter V6 with 190 horsepower, while the higher SXT and R/T trims offer more powerful 3.5-liter V6 (250 hp) and 5.7-liter V8 (340 hp) engines, respectively. All Magnum models come with a four-speed automatic transmission, with the exception of the R/T which boasts a five-speed auto with AutoStick manual control. Notable safety features include a four-wheel ABS and traction control. On the tech front, the car features a six-speaker AM/FM stereo with CD player. Despite its aggressive styling and solid performance, the Magnum falls short in interior quality and fuel economy.
