The 2005 Dodge Neon, part of the second and final generation of the model, is a compact car available in three trims: SE, SXT, and high-performance SRT-4. The SE and SXT trims feature a reliable 2.0-liter 132-hp four-cylinder engine, paired with a standard five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. The SRT-4's 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pumps out an impressive 230 hp. All models are front-wheel drive. Basic features include dual front airbags, power front windows, and a four-speaker sound system. The Neon lacks some of the upmarket tech and safety features seen in today's models, but for its time, it was a solid and affordable choice for daily driveability and, in the case of the SRT-4, sportiness.
