The 2005 Ford Freestyle is a first-generation crossover SUV known for its seating capacity and all-weather capabilities. Offered in three trims - SE, SEL, and Limited, this model has a standard FWD drivetrain with an optional AWD variant. All trims are powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 203-horsepower and is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Freestyle comes standard with safety features such as front-seat side airbags and anti-lock brakes. Despite being a 2005 model, the Freestyle features a reasonable level of technology, including a CD player, a keyless entry keypad, and rear parking sensors in higher trims. Although production ended in 2007, the Freestyle was notable for being a precursor to the later Ford Taurus X and current Ford Explorer.
