2005 Nissan Altima Overview

The 2005 Nissan Altima is part of the third generation that started in 2002. It offers a choice of two engines: a 175-hp 2.5L 4-cylinder for the 2.5S model and a 250-hp 3.5L V6 for the 3.5SE and 3.5SL models. All engines mate to a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission, while a 4-speed automatic is available for the 2.5S model. Key safety features include dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system, and side-impact bars. The Altima also offers a comprehensive infotainment system with CD Player, AM/FM radio, and six speakers. This model year saw the addition of the optional satellite radio. The 3.5 SE-R performance model was also introduced.
