2006 Acura RSX Overview

The 2006 Acura RSX, part of the model's second and final generation, was a front-wheel drive, two-door compact sports car. It offered with a 5-speed automatic or a 5 or 6-speed manual transmission. The base trim was powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine delivering 155 horsepower. The performance-oriented Type-S version carried a 210 horsepower variant of the same engine by means of a higher rev limit, larger throttle body, and high-compression pistons. Noteworthy feature updates for 2006 included new alloy wheel designs and an improved engine air intake for the Type-S. The Acura RSX came with anti-lock brakes and side airbags as key safety features. Inside the cabin, one could expect to find automatic climate control, a CD player, cruise control, and more. The Type-S additionally offered a Bose premium stereo and leather seats.
