The 2006 Buick Lucerne is part of the first generation of this large sedan. Two engine options are available; a 3.8-liter V6 producing 197 horsepower and a 4.6-liter V8 with 275 horsepower. Both engines are paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Lucerne comes in three trim levels: CX, CXL, and CXS. Key safety features for the 2006 model include anti-lock brakes, a full complement of airbags, and Traction Control. The interior of the Lucerne was generously appointed with features including an available navigation system, a Harmon Kardon sound system, and a dual-zone climate control. The biggest change for 2006 was the introduction of the Lucerne, which replaced the LeSabre and Park Avenue in Buick’s lineup.
