2006 Kia Spectra Overview

The 2006 Kia Spectra is part of the second-generation lineup, produced between 2004 and 2009. Standard powertrain is a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that generates up to 138 horsepower, paired with a standard 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive sedan is available in three trims: LX, EX, and sportier SX. Inside, all models come equipped with features like power windows and locks, six-speaker stereo system, and air conditioning. Notable safety gear includes front side-impact and side-curtain airbags. However, some standard safety measures seen in today's models, like electronic stability control, were not available in the 2006 Spectra. Even so, its fuel economy, decent acceleration, and comfortable ride made it a strong compact sedan contender in its time.
