The 2006 Mitsubishi Raider was a midsize truck that marked the brand's return to the pickup market after a seven-year absence. Available in both 2WD and 4WD, the Raider came with either a 210-hp 3.7L V6 or a 230-hp 4.7L V8 engine. It was offered in four distinct trims: LS, Duro Cross, SE, and XLS. Although it did not come with standard traction control or electronic stability systems, it had standard four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The Equipped Raider had a 4-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox. The 2006 Raider was essentially a rebadged Dodge Dakota, which made it more spacious compared to competitors of the era.
