2006 Volvo XC Overview

The 2006 Volvo XC90 is part of the first generation and is a front-engine, all-wheel-drive SUV. Two engines were offered, a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five producing 208 horsepower, and a 4.4-liter V-8 producing 311 horsepower. Both engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It was available in three trims: base, AWD and V8. Key safety features included anti-lock brakes, stability control and a rollover protection system. Regarding infotainment, it featured a Premium Sound System with Dolby Pro-Logic II Surround Sound, 12 speakers and an in-dash 6-CD changer.
