The 2007 Buick Rainier is the last of its kind as the model was discontinued after this year. This mid-size luxury SUV belongs to the first generation that debuted in 2004. It came with two engine options: a 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder that churned out 291 horsepower and a 5.3-liter V8 that produced 302 horsepower. Both engines came with a four-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The Rainier offered two trims: the CXL and CXL Plus, both of which featured a classy, comfortable interior. Notable inclusions were dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and a 6-speaker sound system. The vehicle had the OnStar system for emergency telematics. However, the lack of side curtain airbags was a safety concern. For infotainment, multisource DVD was an available option.
