The 2007 GMC Canyon is a compact pickup truck available in three body styles: regular cab, extended cab (with short reverse-opening doors), and crew cab. Two different suspension packages offered the standard Z85 for a comfortable ride or the Z71 off-road for a more adventurous experience. Engine options were a 2.9-liter four-cylinder producing 185 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.7-liter five-cylinder generating 242 hp and 242 lb-ft. This GMC truck offered a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission and came with rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive was optional. Standard safety equipment included antilock brakes and OnStar emergency communications system. The Canyon gained traction control and side curtain airbags as optional safety features for '07.
