The 2008 Mazda MAZDA6 is a midsize family sedan from the brand's first generation lineup. It's available in four trims: i Sport VE, i Touring, i Grand Touring, and s Grand Touring. The i trims are powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine producing 156 hp, while the s Grand Touring features a 3.0-liter V6 with a 212 hp output. Both engines are paired with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include front-seat side airbags, full-length curtain-type airbags, antilock brakes, and stability control on the s Grand Touring trim. Inside, the MAZDA6 is equipped with a standard CD player, while higher trims add luxury features such as leather seating, a Bose sound system, and heated front seats. Despite a few equipment upgrades for 2008, the Mazda6 essentially remained unchanged from previous years in anticipation of a full redesign in 2009.
