The 2008 Subaru Impreza marked the beginning of the third generation of this beloved model. This compact car was available in both sedan and hatchback form, offering versatility to suit a variety of driver needs. Standard all-wheel drive, a hallmark of Subaru, was offered across all trims. There were ultimately two trims for the Impreza in 2008, the base 2.5i and the sportier WRX. The 2.5i came with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower, while the WRX housed a turbocharged variant of the same engine, boasting 224 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission was standard with an optional four-speed automatic available. Safety highlights included antilock disc brakes, full-length side curtain airbags and front side airbags. As for infotainment, this model year offered standard keyless entry, full power accessories, cruise control, and a CD player with an auxiliary audio jack.
