2008 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible Overview

The 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible belongs to the second generation of VW's New Beetle series. Powered by a 2.5 liter, 5-cylinder engine, it produces 150 horsepower and is available with a 6-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive (FWD) as the standard drivetrain. It comes in two main trims; S and SE, both delivering a true open-air experience. The car is equipped with a solid amount of safety equipment such as antilock disc brakes, stability control, front side-impact airbags and active front head restraints. Its infotainment system lacks some current technologies but features a premium audio system, satellite radio, auxiliary audio jack and an in-dash CD player. Despite its vintage appeal, the New Beetle Convertible offers modern comfort and convenience attributes.
