2009 Chevrolet Impala Overview

The 2009 Chevrolet Impala, part of the ninth-generation Impala series, is a front-wheel-drive full-size sedan available in two main trims: LS and LT. An LTZ package was also available, providing further luxury and convenience features. The standard engine is a 3.5L V6 producing 211 horsepower, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. A more powerful 3.9L V6 (233 hp) is optional. Notable features include GM's OnStar system, cruise control, and a CD player. The LTZ models provide premium audio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and traction control. The 2009 Impala doesn't have modern infotainment features like touchscreen displays or smartphone integration found in later models, but it is known for its comfortable ride and spacious interior. Safety features include front-side airbags, full-length curtain-type airbags, anti-lock brakes, and traction control, with stability control standard on the LTZ.
