The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid is a full-size pickup truck belonging to the GMT 900 generation. Offered in 1HY and 2HY trims, it’s powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine combined with an electric motor, which produces 332 horsepower and 367 lb-ft of torque. The Silverado 1500 Hybrid was one of the first pickups to introduce hybrid technology and it couple with a four-speed automatic transmission. It is a 4WD vehicle, which delivers better fuel economy than many of its competitors. Inside, the Silverado 1500 Hybrid came with a full complement of comfort features including an optional navigation system, a six-disc CD changer, and OnStar. Key safety features included front-seat side airbags, full-length curtain-type airbags, antilock brakes, and stability control. Unfortunately, due to its limited production run, the 2009 Silverado 1500 Hybrid saw limited updates for its model year.
