The 2009 Toyota Corolla is part of the tenth generation of this venerable compact sedan. Known for excellent reliability and fuel efficiency, the Corolla came with three trims: the base, the LE and the sporty S model. All trims were powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four engine producing 132 horsepower, mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features included power mirrors and a CD/MP3 player, while higher trims had keyless entry and power windows. Notably, all Corolla models incorporated safety features such as stability control, antilock brakes, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. While there wasn't an infotainment system as we know it today, the Corolla offered available Bluetooth, and on the LE and S trims, the option of a JBL audio system with an in-dash six-CD changer.
