The 2009 Volvo S40 is a compact luxury sedan known for its premium interior and strong safety features. There were two trims available: the base 2.4i and the performance-oriented T5, which has a turbocharged engine. The 2.4i offered a 2.4-liter five-cylinder engine producing 168 horsepower. The T5 model came with a more powerful 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that produced 227 horsepower, and available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
