The 2010 BMW X3 is a luxury compact crossover that slots below the larger X5 in BMW's lineup. Now in its first generation, the X3 is known for its excellent handling and performance, thanks to its standard all-wheel drive system and robust engine. The 2010 model comes with 3.0-liter inline-6 engine producing 260 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque, mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. It's available in single trim level: the xDrive30i. Noteworthy features for the year include automatic climate control, a 12-speaker audio system with CD player, HD radio, and auxiliary audio jack. Its intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system and suite of advanced safety features, such as traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes, front seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags, make it a strong player in the segment.
