2010 Ford Explorer Sport Overview

The 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac represents the vehicle's second-generation. It's a unique blend of a full-size SUV and pickup truck, equipped with a rear-wheel-drive layout and an optional four-wheel-drive system. The Sport Trac uses a 4.0L V6 engine as standard, producing 210 horsepower, with an optional 4.6L V8 generating 292 horsepower, both mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The V8 version comes with a six-speed automatic. This year brought no significant changes but maintained its key features: Roll Stability Control, Trailer Sway Control, and Safety Canopy side curtain airbags. The MyKey system is a distinctive feature, allowing parents to set limits on speed and audio volume for their teen drivers. Despite being a decade-old model, its infotainment features are still solid with an optional voice-activated navigation and SYNC system developed by Ford in partnership with Microsoft.
