The 2010 Kia Soul represents the first generation of this standout compact car. This front wheel drive (FWD) hatchback came standard with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 122 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque, with an optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that upped the horsepower to 142. A five-speed manual transmission was standard, but a four-speed automatic was optional. Available trims were the base, Soul Plus, Soul Exclaim and Soul Sport.
