The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander is part of the crossover SUV's second generation. The model comes in three trims: ES, SE, and GT, with a choice of FWD or AWD drivetrains except for the GT which comes standard with AWD. Engine options include a 168-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder for the ES and SE, while the GT trim offers a 230-hp 3.0-liter V6. All models employ a continuously variable transmission (CVT), but the GT uses a conventional six-speed automatic. The 2010 model year saw a significant redesign with a more aggressive look reminiscent of the Lancer Evolution. Technology features include a 40GB hard drive navigation system with music server, while safety elements consist of six airbags, active stability control, and a patented Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body structure to diffuse crash energy.
