The 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan is a compact crossover of the first generation produced by the German automaker. It offers an impressive fuel-efficient 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pushes out 200 horsepower, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system is also available. The Tiguan comes in three trims: S, SE, and SEL. Key safety features include antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain-type airbags. The Tiguan further displays technological brilliance with highlights such as an optional touchscreen interface, navigation system, iPod integration and satellite radio. Notable changes for the 2010 model year include a new touch-screen interface on SE and SEL trims and newly available 17-inch alloy wheels.
