2010 Volkswagen Touareg Overview

The 2010 Volkswagen Touareg is a part of the SUV's first generation and is known for its refinement and strong performance. This midsize luxury SUV comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and provides a full-time 4WD system. It is available in three trims, namely; VR6 FSI, V6 TDI, and V8 FSI. The VR6 FSI features a 3.6-liter V6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower, while the V6 TDI has a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine boasting 225 horsepower. In contrast, the V8 FSI is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 that crunches out 350 horsepower. Key safety features include anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, hill descent/ascent control, and a full complement of airbags. On the tech front, the Touareg comes with a touchscreen command for the navigation and audio systems, along with dual-zone automatic climate control, a CD changer, satellite radio, and an auxiliary audio jack.
