The 2011 Buick Lucerne, final year of the model's first and only generation, is a front-wheel drive luxury sedan. It is available in four trims: CX, CXL, CXL Premium and the performance-oriented Super. Power for the CX and CXL trims comes from a 3.9-liter V6 that cranks out 227 hp. The Super trim boasts a 4.6-liter V8 pushing 292 hp. Both engines are mated to a responsive 4-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, front-impact airbags, side impact airbags, overhead airbags, and a security system. Tech highlights include an 8-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and Bluetooth connectivity. Lucerne's swan song year added a few standard features, but saw no significant changes overall compared to the preceding years.
