The 2011 Chevrolet Caprice belongs to the 6th generation of the Caprice model line. It is a rear-wheel-drive sedan initially designed for law enforcement and fleet buyers but was later launched for civilian use. There were two trims available, namely the base PPV (Police Patrol Vehicle) and a detective trim. It featured two engine options: a base-level 3.6-liter V6 producing 301 horsepower, then complemented by a robust 6.0-liter V8 churning out 355 horsepower. Both engines were mated to a smooth six-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment included a heavy-duty suspension and brakes, stabiliTrak (GM’s stability control system), and side curtain airbags. No significant infotainment attributes are noted due to the car's belated consumer launch.
