The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid is a part of the generaion of Chevy's full-size pickup trucks that started in 2007. The Hybrid model paired a 6.0-liter V8 engine with electric motors for a combined output of 332 horsepower. A 4-speed automatic transmission with a built-in electric motor was the only option. The truck came in two trims: 1HY and 2HY. Trim 1HY included keyless entry, heated mirrors, and full power accessories, while 2HY added leather upholstery, power-heated front seats, Bose audio system and more. The Silverado 1500 Hybrid came with standard safety features including antilock disc brakes, stability control, front side airbags, side curtain airbags and OnStar. Notable is the truck's unique two-mode hybrid system which provided improved fuel economy especially in city driving.
