2011 Ford Escape Hybrid Overview

The 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid marked the final year of the second-generation Escape. A pioneer of the fuel-efficient SUV segment, the hybrid model paired a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a total output of 177 horsepower, mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This model came in both FWD and 4WD configurations. Only two trims were available: the base and Limited, with the latter offering leather upholstery and heated seats. Both trims had a 4.2'' LCD screen, and the Limited added the optional navigation system. Notably, the Escape Hybrid achieved remarkable fuel efficiency of up to 34 mpg in the city. Safety elements included antilock brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags, and full-length curtain-type airbags.
