The 2011 Ford F-150, part of the twelfth generation of Ford's iconic pickup series, offered a variety of engine options. These ranged from a 302-hp 3.7L V6 to a 411-hp 6.2L V8, and introduced the now-popular 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with twin turbos and 365 hp. This year marked a significant departure from previous models, as the F-150 transitioned away from larger, less-efficient V8s towards smaller, turbocharged engines. All engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, with 2WD standard and 4WD optional. Infotainment offerings were limited by today's standards but decent for the time, with an available 4.2" LCD screen and Ford's SYNC voice control system. All models came with standard safety features like ABS and stability control, and a rear-view camera was optional. Available trims included the base XL, XLT, luxurious Lariat, off-road-capable FX4, sporty SVT Raptor, and opulent King Ranch and Platinum.
