The 2011 Honda CR-Z, an homage to the classic Honda CRX, is the only hybrid vehicle on the market to offer the option of a manual transmission. Available in a base or EX trim, it is powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined 122 horsepower. A lithium-ion battery pack provides the electric energy. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Notably, the CR-Z features sport, normal, and economy driving modes that alter throttle and steering responses, plus CVT and air conditioning behavior in the economy mode. Key safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and six airbags. The EX trim includes Bluetooth and a premium audio system.
