2011 Hyundai Elantra Overview

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra is the fifth generation of the compact car. Two trims were available: GLS and Limited. Both were powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four engine generating 148 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission, driving the front wheels. The Elantra's fuel economy was a key selling point, returning up to an EPA-rated 40 mpg on the highway. Standard features included keyless entry and power windows, but a navigation system, rearview camera, Bluetooth, and heated front and rear seats were options. The Elantra had good safety scores, helped by standard features like stability control, ABS, front-seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags.
