The 2011 Nissan Versa represents the first generation of this particular model. The Versa offers versatility in its hatchback and sedan body styles with two trims, 1.8 S and 1.8 SL for the hatchback and 1.6 Base, 1.6, 1.8 S, 1.8 SL for the sedan. The hatchback sports a 1.8L four-cylinder engine producing 122 horsepower, while the budget-oriented sedan comes with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine developing 107 horsepower. It’s fitted with a standard five-speed manual transmission for the base sedan, with optional four-speed automatic for the sedan and a six-speed manual as standard for the hatchback. CVT automatic is optional for higher trims. Tech features are basic and include an AM/FM/CD player with iPod control. Unfortunately, it lacks some modern safety features like stability control, which is available only on top trims, although ABS and standard front, side and curtain airbags are offered.
