The 2011 Porsche Boxster is a part of the second-generation of the German automaker’s mid-engine roadsters. It is a rear-wheel drive (RWD) vehicle and came in two distinct trims: the base and the Boxster S. The base model sported a 2.9-liter flat-6 engine that produced 255 horsepower, while the Boxster S received a larger 3.4-liter flat-6 engine delivering 310 horsepower. Both engines were paired to a standard six-speed manual transmission with an optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (PDK). Standard features included 17-inch wheels, a power soft top, automatic climate control, six-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth. Safety features incorporated antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, and six airbags. The Boxster also featured Porsche's PSM (Porsche Stability Management) combining anti-slip regulation and automatic brake differential for increased driving stability.
